The issue of the Status of Jerusalem, which has been an issue since Roman times, is likely to become the basis for war...again!

Things are surely heating up! The Palestinians plan to declare statehood on May 4th,1999 and have already claimed Jerusalem as its capital.

The Israeli response is not surprising, though it bodes ill at this time. The issue has gained the attention of all Israel, a unifying force at a divisive time.

I believe we are gonna see some furious diplomacy in the near future, to try and cap the well before it gushes
